Elder statesman who also headed the 2015 Transition Committee of President Muhammadu Buhari, Ahmed Joda, has died. Naija News reports that his death was confirmed by some friends and family members on Friday. Joda was a retired Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industries, and rose to become one of the super Permanent Secretaries under the military government of Gen Yakubu Gowon (retd.) in the 1970s. Security operatives have invaded the home of the suspended traditional ruler HRH Igwe Christopher Okwor of the Ihekwuenu Aku community. The operatives, who are believed to be from the Fraud Force Unit, Abuja were dressed as civilians and armed to the teeth.  They gained access to the traditional ruler home by jumping over the fence. A female resident of Okwor compound identified as Jennifer said that they heard a strange noise in the compound and in a blink of an eye the armed men began trying to break the entrance door but when they could not succeed they pulled down the windows burglary and successfully entered the home of the ruler.
