Burna Boy Beats Ayra Starr, Black Sherif, Others To Emerge Best African Act At MTV EMAS 2022 (

Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy has emerged as the Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards for the year 2022. Naija News reports that Burna Boy who received the award for the second time edged out other nominees including Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Black Sherif (Ghana), Musa Keys (South Africa) and Zuchu (Tanzania). Nigerian singer, Tems lost to the South Korean boy band, Seventeen who won the ‘best new artiste’ category.

CBN Holds First 2020 MPC Meeting

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is presently holding its first Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting for the year 2020. Naija News understands that the meeting was initially scheduled to hold on Monday and Tuesday. The Apex bank while confirming the commencement of the quarterly meeting through its Twitter handle revealed that the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, will be briefing the press at 2:15 pm (Nigerian time), Friday 24th January 2020, on the decisions of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
