Apple announced two new iPad models, the iPad Air (M2) and iPad Pro (M4), during a virtual keynote event, both of which will release on Wednesday, May 15. The brand new mobile devices — which both feature updated hardware, software and sleek designs — are already available to pre-order, through, so you can receive them the day they come out.
The new iPad Air with M2 chip is available to pre-order starting at $599 at Target, Amazon and Apple.com. In addition, the upgraded iPad Pro with new M4 chip is available to pre-order starting at $999 at Target, Amazon and Apple.com.
The sixth-generation iPad Air got the bigger upgrade, delivering faster performance than the previous generation. It’s the first iPad Air to include Apple’s M2 processor, the same one used in the Mac Mini and Apple Vision Pro models. With a USB-C port for faster connectivity and cellular models with mobile 5G connection, it’s the most powerful iPad Air yet. The update doesn’t just feature more robust software, though. The new edition also comes with 11-inch and 13-inch Liquid Retina displays, in four sleek finishes to choose from — including blue, purple, starlight and space gray.
